The Twelve Days of Christmas Blogging, Day 5

christmas4

What’s on my personal wish list this year?

Books.  Is anyone surprised?

My parents let me know yesterday that they weren’t quite done with their Christmas shopping for me, and wanted to know what else I wanted.

I sent my mother an email with over 20 book titles, already linked to B&N because I know she has a membership there.  I wanted to make it as easy as possible to buy me books.  Wouldn’t you?

As I’m positive I won’t get every book, (I knew that, I just wanted to give her lots of options!) it’s going to be a surprise what I do get, which I like.  I made the list about a 50/50 split of books I’ve borrowed from the library this year and want my own copies of (like the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, and American Gods) and things I know I want to read and will probably want to own (like a few Sharon Shinn and Juliet Marillier novels I don’t already have.)

So it’s a win-win.  I don’t know for sure what books will be under the tree, but I am sure I’ll like them.  Probably.  I mean, there could still be a stinker, but that happens, no one likes every book.

Who else asked Santa for books this Christmas?
